Steven has worked within financial services for more than 12 years. Originally as a bank teller, moving into mortgage advice and from there, gained the qualifications as a financial adviser at a major high street bank. Having worked there for a number of years, Steven set up Mathieson Financial Services Ltd in December 2011, becoming a Partner Practice of St. James's Place. Seeing an opportunity to be self-employed, providing personal flexibility and the opportunity to focus on personal service for his clients.
Since 2011, Steven has moved office premises as the business grows and added staff to help support the back office administration. This continues to be a key focus for Steven and adding further members to the team will ensure the business is capable of providing timely key advice to clients, along with efficient administration behind the scenes.
Outside of work, Steven is married with two children. Steven enjoys the odd game of golf, socialising with friends and spending quality time with his family.
Rebecca joined the practice in March 2018. She has 15 years administration, accounts and recruitment experience. Rebecca is Steven’s wife and therefore understands the business and genuinely cares about clients and their experience with Mathieson Financial Services.
Rebecca works part time and is involved in accounts and general issues regarding the running of the business.
Outside of work, Rebecca runs a busy household with two children and a dog. Rebecca enjoys singing and unsuccessfully auditioned for the X Factor 10 years, now she sticks to the odd karaoke!
Jacquie joined the practice in August 2018, having worked in financial services for over 20 years, and for the last 10 years working for Partner Practices within St. James’s Place Wealth Management.
Jacquie holds the Certificate of Mortgage Advice and Practice and is an Accredited St. James’s Place Practice Manager.
As Practice Manager Jacquie is responsible for the day to day running of the office ensuring the practice runs efficiently and smoothly. She is also involved in the processing of business and helps to ensure we deliver exceptional service to both new and existing clients.
In her spare time Jacquie enjoys going to the theatre with family and friends and also home baking, of which her cupcakes are a team favourite.
Kerry joined the Practice in September 2017 as a Trainee Paraplanner and is currently working towards the St. James’s Place Paraplanner Accreditation which will see her qualify as a Paraplanner. Having recently passed the RO1 exam, Kerry is also an accredited St. James’s Place Administrator.
Kerry has lived in various locations, having been relocated with the Army and has Administration experience, having worked in the Oil Industry for over 10 years before becoming a mother to her 2 sons, Stevie and Sonny.
Away from work Kerry enjoys spending time with her children, going to the gym and forest walks with her family dog, Ethel.
Colin joined the Practice in March 2019 as a Financial Administrator, having gained over 10 years experience in financial services, working with
St. James’s Place previously and more recently from having worked for a large Independent Financial Adviser Firm.
Colin is involved in the general day to day administration of the Practice which include dealing with client enquiries, organising and preparing client reviews, processing of business, which all helps contributes to ensure we deliver exceptional service to both new and existing clients.
Away from work Colin enjoys gardening, spending time with his wife, Eileen, and socialising with friends.
